The Johnston, S.C., Peach Blossom Festival entertainment for the day is now set, with a variety of performers for the May 3 event.
The day’s entertainment begins at 9 a.m. with Wardlaw Academy Chorus. At 9:30 a.m., the Amick Junction Band from Saluda, SC, (featuring Rusty Autrey, a member of the SC Music Hall of Fame) takes the stage. At 10 a.m., there will be a prayer of dedication by Rev. Ricky Stokely, Johnston Pentecostal Holiness Church. Next will be the National Anthem, performed by Ty’Aijah Johnson, Merriwether Middle School Choral Student. Then Johnston Mayor Thomas Holmes will provide the welcome and recognize dignitaries.
At 10:30 a.m., the parade will be held in downtown Johnston.
At 11 a.m., the Johnston Elementary School Chorus will perform, followed by Studio 96 from Greenwood, SC, at 12:15 p.m.
At 1 p.m., the weigh-in to determine winners for the Bass Fishing Tournament will be held in front of the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce Building.
On the entertainment stage from 1-1:30 p.m. will be the Johnston-Edgefield-Trenton Middle School Chorus. They are followed at 1:30 p.m. by Band of Ages: A classic rock band from the CSRA, celebrating 60s and 70s Pop and Rock. From 2:30-3 p.m., the Next Generation Cloggers from Greenwood, SC, perform. The entertainment wraps up with the North Augusta First Baptist Church performing from 3:15-4:15.
The entertainment is free.

The Johnston Development Corporation, a non-profit volunteer organization, sponsors the Festival.
